COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP

When a high school student is committed to both athletics and their studies, this requires commitment and sacrifice on the part of the student. Bulkley Valley Home Centre in Telkwa and Houston recognizes the best of these students at five area high schools with an annual $500 scholarship.

Bulkley Valley Home Centre salutes the commitment high school students make to their sport. To be gifted with athletic ability is one thing – it is quite another to excel at a sport while demonstrating good sportsmanship as well as maintain a good academic standing. The Bulkley Valley Home Centre Athletic Scholarship consists of $500 each to five graduating students who attend a college or university. Awards have gone to these schools: Houston Christian School, Houston Secondary School, Smithers Secondary School, Bulkley Valley Christian School and Ebenezer Canadian Reformed School.

Bulkley Valley Home Centre takes pride in actively supporting the communities we serve, including Smithers, Telkwa and Houston. We recognize that community volunteers make an immeasurable contribution to the quality of life in our communities. Whether they are involved in raising money for medical research and charities, or involved in community-based organizations working on special projects and events,Bulkley Valley Home Centre is pleased to support as many of these endeavours as we can.
